Mission
To help maintain public trust and confidence in the news media by promoting fairness, courtesy and balance and by creating a forum where the public and the news media can engage each other in examining standards of journalistic fairness.

Values

• Independent. We conduct our duties free from control or interference by the media, government, interest groups or individuals
• Fair. We will reach judgements according to its rules based on the evidence it has gathered and its actions and sanctions will be proportionate
